1.How to use Webster hardness tester to test the hardness of aluminum profiles.
Webster hardness tester small size, light weight, one-hand operation, in the process of industrial aluminum profile production can be measured anytime, anywhere hardness, The measuring principle of Webster hardness tester is to press a certain shape of hard steel needle into the surface of the aluminum profile under the action of the standard spring test force, and determine the hardness of the aluminum profile by the depth of the pressure needle. And the industrial aluminum profile is a material with two parallel faces, which is very suitable for Webster hardness tester measurement.
Industrial aluminum profiles are mass produced, and the need for root inspection, Webster hardness tester small and flexible is very suitable for this production site. Although the Webster hardness tester is relatively insensitive, it is sufficient for production control and compliance.
2.Webster hardness tester how to correct?
Full scale correction
Do not place the sample in the opening of the hardness tester, directly hold the handle to the end. Use a small screwdriver to adjust the full scale adjusting screw so that the pointer points to scale 20. If the value indicated by the pointer is too small, the adjusting screw should be adjusted clockwise; If the value indicated by the pointer is too large, the adjusting screw should be adjusted counterclockwise. If the needle cannot point to the full scale 20 by adjusting the adjusting screw, replace the pressure needle in time.
Load spring correction
Take out the known hardness of the hardness block, use the instrument to measure the hardness of the known hardness block, if the error is out of the instrument load spring calibration, the steps are as follows: unscrew the support screw, remove the lower handle from the frame, and then remove the dial head from the pressure cylinder, the pressure cylinder remains in the frame. At this time, a slotted adjusting nut can be seen in the pressure cylinder. As shown in Figure 2, use the special wrench equipped with the instrument to turn the adjusting nut. If the reading of the test hardness block is too small, the adjusting nut should be turned counterclockwise, and the adjusting nut should be turned clockwise. Every 1/4 turn of the adjusting nut will change the reading by 2 to 3 ticks. After adjustment, the instrument should be re-installed for hardness block inspection. Repeat the above steps until the reading of the full scale and the hardness block meets the requirements. Do not turn the adjusting screw at will except for normal correction. The reading of the test standard hardness block must not be corrected by adjusting the adjustment screw.
